My story for today.
My nephew Trent has had a cat decide they are the family for it. It looks to be quite a scrapper. You can see the marks on it's head and the ears are kind of laid down. Looks to have been in a fight or many. The cat brings them "treats" all the time. Maybe she thinks they don't get enough to eat. LOL Well as we were sitting out at the picnic table this weekend my granddaughter Nicole looked up and said, "OMG! CeeCee has a squirrel." We looked, and sure enough, here she comes, strutting acrosse the yard with a squirrel hanging from her mouth. Everyone was trying to get a picture with their phones but stopping and posing wasn't in the cards. Danielle finally got one as she dropped it between her yard and mine.
She decided it was still to far to take to Trent's so she just left it there. Then suddenly she went shooting across the rode after something under Jodi's deck. Whatever she found either got away or she wasn't interested in taking it anywhere. She has even got a rabbit once.
Well th th that"s all folks.
Oh my gosh. I would never have believed it if I hadn't seem the picture. That is one ferocious cat. lol
ReplyDeletemy Robin who was the last of our indoor-outdoor cats was a fierce hunter. She brought it ALL home. Snakes, small rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, you name it..birds, insects, lizards. When they bring it to you, they really ARE giving you a gift and it IS an honor. It's seems hard to do but praising them with petting is the thing to do and then dispose of their gift of supper.

ReplyDeleteCats are amazing creatures. I've been around them all my life. amay landlords cat took quite a shine to me when I moved here about 5 years ago. She hangs around with me when I sit outside.
ReplyDeleteI miss having cats sometimes, but I don't miss them bringing me their gifts for me. For some reason, mine seemed to love to bring baby bunnies, which made me cry. I know it's just nature, but the little things never got a chance to live.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see the picture Terry, maybe just as well, I'm always waging war on the neighbour's cats, apart from their raiding my bird's nests, it's the leaving their little parcels of poop in my flower beds. Give me dogs any day.
