I'm Back...

and glad this year is over.  Sorry about the lack of posting, but it's been a little busy and rough here.  I posted about my mother-in-law and her stroke just before her birthday.  It looked like she was going to be okay, but that was not to be.  Of course the hospital couldn't keep her indefinitely for therapy and she needed daily care that even as close as we are were unable to provide.  She was transferred to a nursing home close by for couple of days and then to a better one as soon as a bed opened up.  Well she didn't like it and wasn't going to get better so she wanted to go home until the end, so home she was brought.  As we were all together for Christmas eve she went to heaven.   Sadly her last brother had passed just a couple of weeks before.  We laid her to rest Sat. She was a wonderful little lady and will really be missed.

If that wasn't enough, almost all of battled that flu that was going around and are just getting back in shape.  My sisters little grandson had a real tough bought with numerous trips to the ER. but is doing okay now.

Hopefully things are all on the upswing for the start of the new year.  I will be working harder on keeping up with my blogging.

You all have a Happy New Year.  May it be peaceful and healthy for all.

Love you all.

  2. Going home on the eve of Christ's birth may have been real special for her, although it must have been difficult and sad for the rest of you. So sorry for your loss. I hope everyone has recuperated from illness. Have a Happy New Year.

  3. So sorry for your loss. It's unfortunate that it happened Christmas because it will always be a little bit of a downer. What's with the flu that's going around. It really started early this year too in our state anyway. I'm trying to stay away from it, but time will tell on that one. I'm washing my hands so much that they are almost raw!
