It's happening.

After many years of digging out from under debt from his divorce, my youngest son and his new girl friend are moving into their own place this weekend.  She really is nice and we like her.  I do hope and pray their relationship turns out to be everything they want.  He's always going back to finish his college education, a few courses at a time like Danielle is doing with hers.  I wish him all the best in that endeavor too.  I had to laugh at Danielle as she said she drove them nuts with her history knowledge, wait till they get Jared.  LOL!  It's his favorite subject.

I'm glad for them and looking forward to our alone time again, but will miss him and girls coming each weekend.  Now to redo the room and get my sewing machine and stuff up there and out of the dining room.  Then there really will be no excuse for me not to get some sewing done.  Have project I've been waiting to do and sluffing off because I don't like having to pack it away all the time in order to use the table etc.

Now the latest Oreo report.  Thought for a bit he would be starting to sleep with us.  He finally realized he could jump high enough to get on our bed.  We kind of expected him to jump up in the middle of the night but he stayed in his own bed all night.  We're just wondering how long that will last.

Well I guess that about sums up the news from here.

You all have a safe and nice weekend.

  1. Divorce has really devastated a lot of people. I wish the very best for your son in all of that. We have had dogs that both sleep on our bed and those that had their own favorite sleeping spot elsewhere...I wonder which kind Oreo will be. It's fifty degrees for us at the moment...my goodness I've missed that! Cooler weather is in the forecast...boo! Have a great day my friend!

  3. Losing a tenant, but gaining a room...a double edged sword...you will miss your grandson, AND you'll have to work to get your room like you want it. But, then it'll be nice to have your house for yourselves. Good luck to the happy couple!

I can just see Oreo surprising you in the middle of the night with a lick on your face....he'll be asking permission to stay...

  6. Barring any unfortunate incidents I will be debt free in October so I'm looking forward to the feeling your son is experiencing.
