Well it's Friday and we have no big plans for anything. Not for today or the weekend. Yeah, the superbowl is on but when you team isn't there it takes some of the fun out of it. But hey, there is the commercials, lol.
Isn't this funny. I know there are probably a few people who feel this way, lol.
Well yesterday was Groundhog day and as usual Phil gets all the big press. I wonder, would you call that the liberal press, lol. Sorry about that. Our own groundhog here in WI is called Sun Prairie Jimmy and he contradicts Phil on the forecast. Early spring here he says. Jimmy is celebrating his 175 birthday this year. One year older than Phil. He even has a site called GROUNDHOG CENTRAL. I guess they even call Sun Prairie the Groundhog Capital of the World. They really take this thing seriously, lol.
Well time to get the usual stuff done in case we can find something interesting to do today. I'm thinking shopping maybe.

I don't know anyone excited about the Super Bowl either...guess like you said the commercials will get most of the attention...that's how it would be for me no matter who was playing and worse I'd likely catch them on You Tube!

Of course Jimmy is the king of gound hogs. He's much better than that Phil guy. Just no press to back him up. We just know he'll be right.

I have always hated football....as the mom says in The Waterboy,"Foozball is the Devil, Bobby Bouche". It always changed my hubby from this calm wonderful man to "you made me miss that play", as you walk to the bathroom and had to pass in front of the tv. sheesh. He's not that way anymore, but there were too many years of that.
ReplyDeleteIt was 72 degrees here today, but tomorrow, it's supposed to be 60, then 58, so hopefully, it won't be in the 70's everyday yet.
Our groundhog was on the local news this morning. He was wearing a suit and sunglasses. What a poser!
ReplyDeleteThe Super Bowl holds great interest for me. My team is in it. The team everyone loves to hate. They hate The Patriots in Indiapolis because the Colts have been defeated a few times. They hate the Patriots in New York because...well it's New York. Boston/New England sports fans have been quite lucky the last 10 years! I have to say it. Go Pats!
