She's gone.

Sherry left us to go to New York for a few days with her grandson to see his dad.  I know she is having a good time and will be home Thursday.  Hmmmm!  Never asked. Wonder if she will be home for Granny's night.  She just loves to travel and I know she would do more if possible.  Having to watch Deanna's kids does put a cramp in that, but she loves them and wouldn't want them with anyone else.  In another year Brody will be in school all day and that should give her more time to go when she feels like it.

Traveling has never been big on my mind.  It's nice to take a trip at times and fun to see things, but I'm mostly a homebody.  Little trips like camping are more my style.  If I would go it would be to nature type sites.  Big buildings in busy cities just don't do it for me.  I like the little quaint type cities.  Have always wanted to see and old plantation like those described in books but have never had that chance. Besides, I'm not much for flying.  I've done it when there was no other way, but was 'white knuckled' the whole time.

Well guess I had get busy around here.  Twitching my nose doesn't seem to be accomplishing anything.  Wouldn't you just love to be able to do that.   Thought---wouldn't it be great to put a spell on politicians that makes them tell the truth at all times?  What a concept!

Have a good day.

  1. Hi Terry, I know how you feel about travelling, though I've just had a visit to the states, I do admit I don't like the preparation, the customs and most of all, living out of a suitcase, but TBH I did enjoy the experience. I also prefer country life and nature, but it's nice to crack the mould now and then.
LOL I agree about the politicians, lot of rogues. Enjoy your week.

  2. I would love to visit Alabama and Georgia and the southern states to see the old plantations too. I wish I was young and healthy enough for a trip to Scotland and Ireland.

I like that touching the nose idea.

  3. You cannot imagine the times I have wished twitching my nose like Samantha would get me somewhere in life....but wishing politicians were honest would take a downright miracle!!!

I feel just like you....I don't like the hustle and bustle of big places....would love to see the Grand Canyon if I could twitch my nose and be there and then twitch my nose and be back (see what I mean?), but I hate, hate, hate traffic and all the rude drivers that love to tailgate and don't know what common courtesy is when they get behind the wheel. I don't believe half the people who flip you off because they think you drive to slow if you go the speed limit would do the same thing if they were walking behind me in the mall and I was strolling and not running like them....most would be courteous. But then, that's a horse of another color, isn't it? Different generation out there.

  4. Hey Terry, if you ever master that `twitching of the nose`thing, please... help this guy out! `Twitching of your nose`would work a lot faster than pushing a vacuum or drip drying the dishes or swooshing of the dust cloth... or... and the list goes on!
Sounds like you are keeping well. Good to know. I so agree with you, big cities are not for me. I prefer more open space and solitude! Here`s hoping that Sherry has a safe trip!

  5. I've been enjoying Sherry's pictures of New York. I haven't seen much except what I see flying over it so it's nice to see her adventures. We have a trip to a mountain cabin soon..I hope to escape the heat!
