That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. That storm blew through here like crazy and tipped over my yard swing. Actually picked it up and moved it a little and dumped it on my picnic table. When we could go out and pick it up we had to move it back between the 2 little wrought iron tables I had on each side (and they didn't move an inch) and the shade cover was torn. Now I have to see if I have the sewing skills to make a new one. Will be taking it off and measuring etc. to know how much material to buy. Have ideas about how to change it so it can be put on and off and you don't get that 'sail' effect. Did someone say Velcro?
Don't things always happen in bunches. First the storm that ruined my gazebo and broke the car window. Then the one yesterday that dumped the swing. Then checking the camper and found the refrigerator isn't working properly and the camper battery to run things without electricity was no longer any good. Well a talk with RV serviceman didn't work, as the things he told Jack to check (hoping for an easy fix) didn't pan out. So today we hooked it up and took it in. Decided as long as we're going broke he ordered a A\C cover, new battery and a Power Jack.
NOW ENOUGH ALREADY! I told family if I didn't laugh about this I would be stinking drunk. LOL!
Hey it's 12 o'clock somewhere, and pretty darn close here.
Have to be careful and make sure I double check my spelling etc. My wonderful sister Sherry is becoming a critic, lol. She was bugging Jodi the other day on fb and me yesterday. The brat. Told her to shut up, lol.

Oh no, the curse left my house an settled in yours! Your hubby best make 2x4 poles sunk in the ground to hold your gazebo eh? Those shear winds are so damaging. Mother Nature doesn't hate you, you jist got in her path is all. Now put on ah happy face and "Proast!" Or "Bumps" as they say.
ReplyDeleteMother Nature has really been mean to you lately. I hope it gets better for you.

Mother Nature doesn't hate you! However, I think you ticked her off somehow. Maybe you'd better switch from Parkay back to real Butter!
ReplyDeleteWe have had the threat of severe weather but have fared pretty well so far thankfully. The rest of the state has had terrible flooding so I'm thankful to be safe from such things. Sorry for the things you've had to deal with my friend, I guess on the bright side it could be a whole lot worse!
