All gone

Well almost.  Yup!  The grocery store thinned out the wallet again, and I didn't get everything I wanted.  It really is depressing, this grocery thing.   Leaves very little for other things.

That wonderful grandson's name is Aaron.  He is a really good kid.  Extremely smart.  The school has put him in all advanced classes.  I'm so very proud of him.  His brother Austin is the same.   My son and his wife have done a wonderful job with the boys.

To Mariodacatsmom...we make the goulash the same way.  Though, there are times I've used spicer tomatoes (like Rotel) and have even used a little pasta sauce in it.  The hubby likes things with a little kick.   We have it quite a bit in the chilly weather.

I know some of you watch DWTS as I do, but how long I don't know.  Was shocked at the last one voted off.  I would have sent either Chaz or Nancy Grace home.   In checking out the new season of shows I haven't seen much of anything to take me from the ones I usually watch.  Boy, aren't the soaps dwindling fast.  Though I only watch Days it seems like the choice is definitely being limited.  Other than Jeopardy, Days is the only daytime tv I watch.    I see it's almost that time and Darla will be here to watch with me so I will say tata.

Have a good day.

  1. Groceries are getting out of sight now. I know what I spend each week and I shop the bargains. I would hate to be feeding a family again.

I love goulash and I haven't had any for a long time.

I will go into mourning the day they take Y&R off. ;-)

  2. I was shocked at our last grocery bill and there wasn't any meat on the list! It is staggering how prices keep going up. I don't watch soaps for years and dwts is creepy this time, can't watch it, tried. How proud you must be of your grandkids.

  3. Yes, the cost of groceries is getting so bad one can hardly afford to eat anymore. Did you ever stop to think about all the time spent on groceries too: shop, load it up in car, unload from car, unpack and put in cupboard or refrigerator. Then, one has to cook it and clean up the mess. Too bad we can't think of a way to eliminate having to eat! On that note, I think I'll go have breakfast. he he. Congratulations to your grandson. You and his parents can be so proud.

  4. I love spice in things and it does make the cooler weather more bearable however these days it's been really quite warm...still my desire for spices remains. It is wonderful to have kids to be proud of. Mine are still home...my oldest being only 16 and they are all very bright...I too am so proud of them. What a blessing from God huh? Have a great day!

  5. Oh glad to know the grandson's names. Aaron is cuter than can be..really. This is an old lady talkin' but I still have eyes in my head.

DWTS..Chaz or Nancy either one..preferebly both should be gone. Not the one who went. What was their PROBLEM to pick HER??? I don't have a clear favorite yet. I know the Kardasian guy and Carson can go with my blessings.
