Was getting things ready to make some cookies. When getting the pans the shelf in the cupboard feel apart. Those little pegs they use to hold up the shelves are not the best things. This is the fourth time they have given out. Well Jack has had enough. He brought in two sticks and drilled them right into where the pegs go. Solid now. Hope that's the end. Trouble is. I'm no longer in the mood. May have to force myself, but it's not looking good. I have my shopping done, cards sent, tree up and still don't feel the Christmac spirit. Don't know why. Maybe it's because there is no snow but I really don't want that either.
May your holiday be filled
With good friends and family.
May the sound of laughter echo
Into the New Year.
Sometimes it takes a little faith to get into the spirit of things. I know that for us there have been a multitude of things that have come up just now that want to sap the Christmas spirit but when I think of everything I still have to be thankful for and what the season is really about I realize that come what may there's still a star shining in that dark sky out there.
ReplyDeleteThe weather today is depressing me. Dreary rain but I think it is better than snow.
ReplyDeleteI had the same things happen with my shelves at home and Jim fixed them the same way your husband did.
Know what you mean..I think I will be glad when it's New Years! Hoping the holidays go well for you and family!! : )
ReplyDeleteHubby did the same with our shelf. I am sure the spirit will visit you soon. Or is there three? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI think you can get tired of Christmas because of the constant commercial bombardment we get. The race is on before your Thanksgiving turkey is cold. By the time Christmas rolls around the spirit of holiday can be beaten out of you.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to get into the true spirit of Christmas. Snow is pretty to look at on Christmas, but I can do without it too thank you.
