It's a go!

Had all the tests, checkup etc. and have been declared okay to have the cataract surgery.  So next Tuesday I have one done and two weeks later the other.  I will sure be glad when it's all over.

Mothers day is coming with the annual yard party.  It has been suggested this year, instead of that same old food items we all do some of things we've seen online and Pinterest.  Though some may fun, I still think we need a few of the stape items.  I mean how would it be if we ended up with a bunch of food that no one will like.  Especially children.  They can be pretty picky.  I think a combination of both is best.

Well hubby is home from turkey hunting and the dreaded tv is on again.  Though I sure miss HIM when he goes, I certainly do not miss that tv noise.  An hour of Days of Our Lives during the daytime, DWTS on Mon. (glad Andy is finally gone),  NCIS on Tues., and Criminal Minds on Thur. are more than enough for me.   Oreo sure did miss him.  I don't think he's moved too far from him since he came home.

It's been so beautiful outside the last few days I've hardly been in here long enough to turn on this machine.  Rain and cold called for today.  So far the cold part has turned up.  Need a jacket again.  This up and down teasing is getting old.

Well, there's all that daily stuff that I've put off this morning, so I had better get at it.  For some silly reason it just won't do itself.

You have a good day.

  1. Ha Ha. I know what you mean, my hubby would let the tv go all day if he were home. As soon as he leaves I shut it off. Luckily at night we watch a lot of the same programs, actually I have favorites that he doesn't watch. Good luck with the eye surgery. It is finally in the upper 70s here. :)

  2. Good for you! So glad you checked out great! I wonder why they do one eye at a time. Like I said, in that video that I watched on the doctor in North Korea, they did both eyes on the people at once. It looked like an easy surgery. If you have Netflix, look that one up. It has something to do with North Korea in the title. The reason I watched it was because North Korea was threatening to send missiles our way at that time....I wanted to know something about them...and feel so sorry for the people of that nation. The tyranny that they are under is awful....but that's another post, huh?

Glad your hubby is home. During my hiatus, I have devoured hours upon hours of The Office. (also on Netflix) I started from the beginning and watched each episode up to the 6th season, I believe....I think I have two (?) more to go. At first, I didn't like the humor on there....almost like watching a train wreck...but after my son talked me into watching more, you develop a love for the quirky characters. Odd.

Glad to be back in time to pray for your surgery. I pray you will have 20/20 vision afterward!!!

  3. Man when you'd rather not hear the TV, it's awful when you have ti. BUT that is part of the partnership of marriage.

I was glad to see Andy gone too. Now, I hope they drop off like flies as Zendaya and Kelly are the only top ones. The gymnast is OK.

  4. I leave the tv on now sometimes just for company. I felt the same way you did about the tv when Jim was with me. He loved those old shows like Green Acres and that would drive me wild.

Good luck with the eye surgery. I have that ahead for me in the future.

  5. I will echo what everybody else said, good luck with the eye surgery. I admit an affection for Green Acres myself.

  6. Yes, good luck with the eye surgery for sure. I thought of you the other day as we saw some wild turkeys in the country driving to our daughter's house. They seem to be in abundance this year, so I'm sure hubby was successful.
