Still here!

No, I haven't dropped off the face of the earth.  It's just that it has been so nice outside here for a few days I spent almost all of time out there.  In fact one day I went to the swing with my MP3 player and fell asleep listening to it.  Hubby came out after some time and asked if I had a nice nap.  The grandkids had come to ask him if we had the "Little Mermaid" on dvd as they didn't want to wake up grandma.  Such sweet kids.

It's raining like crazy and suppose to rain more into tonight and tomorrow.  Then the sun will be back and the heat and humidity should rise again.  Nothing like the 90's or 100's that's been going around, thank the Lord.  But still, if the humidity get too high it will not feel good.

Now I have tons to do as one of the girls Danielle ran with in school is coming for a visit with 2 of her daughters.  They will be staying in our camper so have to make sure all is in readiness out there.  She's a wonderful girl and her and her daughters are just beautiful.

On a sad and happy note.  Ya I know, how could it be both.  Well Danielle and family have lost their house thanks to the economy.  Going from 2 good jobs with auto manufacturing connections to a school aide doesn't bring in much money.  Mike was off all this time and finally found work but both living on her little salary and unemployment for 2 years finally took it's toll.  Now the happy side.  They are renting the house right next door.   Nicole will finally be in the school district instead of being an 'open enrollment' student.  She will be able to ride the bus.   Trouble is it's a very small house so most of their stuff is in storage.  Their landlord lives on the other side and he waived the security deposit.   I know once they get back on their feet and some money saved they will look for a larger place but until then we are loving having them here.

Hope your day is a good one.  Stay cool the best way you can if your still suffering in the heat.

  5. It's not been all that hot here...just nice in my opinion...guess that's a rarity for many these days. Sorry about the hard times...I do understand that. I pray that things come around and are better than ever before.

  6. That is a sad/happy story, but mainly sad. It doesn't sound like GM will reopen, which sucks big time. Hope like hell things will work out for Danielle and her family.
