The wait.

You know what it's like waiting for things. Afraid to leave even for a half hours.  Must wait and watch for UPS as Deedee's kindle has been shipped.  My sister Jodi ordered some steel-toed work shoes online and I have to watch for those.  Went a picked out my laptop yesterday and you know the way things are today,  some programs come separately,  and they install them.  I probably could have but for warranty and assurance I let them.  I don't understand why the companies that make computers can do like they used and sell them complete and with the program discs in the box with them.  Anything for extra money.  Anyway I can pick it up Thursday so waiting on that.  Then I'll have our friend give the desk top a thorough going over and we'll be  really connected.  Jack is waiting for a call from where he ordered a welding torch so one of us has to be here until all things are delivered or ready.

My lid is missing.  Deedee had a party a few weeks ago for her cousin's birthday.  I think I wrote about it.  We took over a slow cooker full of meatballs.  Well it came back and the lid is missing.  The only lid she found was way too big.  So she's trying to find who got my lid and give them theirs.

Have a good day everyone.

  1. It is hard waiting on UPS, like waiting for the cable guy, almost. Andy took my laptop to his house for, I forget. I put 'Mom' on the charging cord so it wouldn't get mixed up with theirs. Even on an outing, labeling comes in handy.

  2. About the only time I got a computer as I saw it was with out MacBook which had only what I asked for as far as software goes...that was really nice. I have noticed the Kindel Fire comes out next month and figure I'll wait for that before I seriously consider getting such a thing...it's full color and has a ton of other features...word has it this might be the first competition the I-Pad has had and at a fraction of the cost.

  4. Hey Terry, did you watch DWTS last night? GET RID OF CHAZ! NO way there is an ounce of grace or dance ability there. Like slinging sacks of grain around the floor.

  5. I'm warming to the idea of a kindle, but I'll wait till I get some first hand reviews. More waiting, Hope you get your slow cooker lid sorted, not much good without one or wrong one.
Thanks for your visits, much appreciated.
    Off to bed now. g'night

  6. Back in the day, to use a cliche' (Hey that rhymes!) A lid had a whole different meaning. Sometimes you could only afford a half a lid. I know that may be vague but so are the 60's and 70's to me.
