I always find it interesting how some people, like Sherry, love to travel all over while others are perfectly content (me) to pretty much stay in my own state. What brought on this? A question of fb about how many states have you visited, not just through. I have been to Nev. Fla, N. Carlina, Tenn, Ind, and of course Ill, (hard not to living on the border). Now Sherry has quite a few more on me.
The thing is it made me think about what kind of trip I would like to take. What I would like to see and do. Well, I would like to meet each of you in a nice coffee shop and have a gab fest. To be able to really meet some of the wonderful people I have met on here, I think it would be so cool. As a secondary highlight, just think of all the places I would see along the way. I thought of that a few years ago when we went to Daytona and Memphis. Wondering as we went through, what is Carole or Beth, or Toodie etc. doing right now. I really think it would be a fun trip to plan and do, but alas, time and money etc. are definitely a hold back. So I will settle for having my coffee with you all while I post and see you on fb.
Have a good day all. Hugs!
It all sounds wonderful. If I ever hit the lotto I will fund it all. :-) We will travel all over the country until we have met everyone!
ReplyDeleteGirl, I have thought the exact same thing. I have thought and thought about that very same thing. I even blogged about it on Spaces several times. Would that not be so cool?

I've done a fare share of traveling both in the US and out and have really enjoyed it. I notice most of my friends are far east of me since I'm here in Montana I guess that figures! I wonder too about what people are doing and what it would be like to meet them. Like you I feel pretty limited with gas prices being what they are...thankfully we can still keep in contact this way if nothing else. Bless you, have a great day!
ReplyDeleteApart from the 6 New England states I've been to Florida New York and California. Since I got my camera a few years ago I decided to explore what I have in my own back yard. I'll bet everyones home state has hidden treasures. I might be back in California in September though.
ReplyDeleteToo bad we couldn't all meet somewhere.
I have so many places I haven't visited in my home state. I could stay busy traveling around California the rest of my life and be perfectly happy :-)
ReplyDeleteI do like to travel and have done quite a bit, been all thru the states and across Canada except for Quebec and some of the Maritime Provinces. I did a lot more traveling when I was younger, family & career have settled me down. When I retire, I plan to do some more. Until then... you can pour me a cup of tea and I'll join you here online.
ReplyDeleteOne thing is for sure, when it comes to traveling, no one realizes how beautiful it is to travel until he comes home and rests his head on his old, familiar pillow.
