The Quiet.....

...is over.  The hunters are back and without any success.  Jack saw a few but had no shot and I guess no one else saw anything.  It's so nice to have them home all safe and sound.  The minor downside---the tv had been off from 9:30 last Fri. till about 9:30 Wed. morning during the day.  No longer.  I don't think it's been off at all since, with the exception of sleep and not being home, lol.  Funny how one can fill the time without it and others, not so much.

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Darla, Jim and Jared yesterday.  Watch the Packers win and a marvelous dinner.  So much so, that we naturally overdid it.  Couldn't even manage a piece of pie after.  Split it in half and brought it home.  Was really late before I could even think about it.

Anyone do the Black Friday shopping thing?  I just don't see the real need.  Guess I'm just not the standing forever, waiting in line, pushing each other type.  There is nothing out there in the stores that is worth all that hassle to me.  I think also that if you use a credit card for purchases it diminishes the size of the savings you get if you end up paying interest for any length of time.  As few people can pay the whole balance each month you lose some of the advantage.

Have a good day.

  3. Sounds like you had a wonderful super Thanksgiving Terry, and didn't spoil it by doing the 'Black Friday'? shop, we don't have that here, don't think it's my cup of tea either.

  4. Glad everyone made it home safe and sound and I''m really glad you had a great Thanksgiving! We sang with our group from the church all day today so that was primarily our day...a little shopping here and there but nothing much...the psycho shopping was far earlier...thank God!

  5. No "Black Friday Shopping" for me....EVER!
Wife went out T'Giving night to one shop at midnight, and bought only one thing...then came home and bought several things on-line.
I haven't been down to my farm in three weeks, so I don't know if the hunters got any deer or turkeys yet. I'm just not "into hunting", but bless those who do.

  6. So happy you had a great Thanksgiving. No Black Friday shopping for me. I don't even like driving on the streets on that day. Years past there were a couple of times where someone almost hit my car because of their haste to get to the next store.
